To help you find what you’re looking for quickly, we’ve organized resources into two clear categories: Emergency and Non-Emergency.
New Bedford is proving that public safety and compassion go hand in hand. Through our Co-Response Partnership, we’ve embedded mental health and substance use clinicians directly into emergency response—giving residents two clear ways to get help: MCI for behavioral health crises that don’t pose an immediate safety risk, and 911 with a co-responder for dangerous ones. The result? Fewer arrests, fewer unnecessary ER visits, and stronger trust between our community and the people who show up to help. It’s a better way to care for our neighbors.
